Having once prospered as a mining town, environmental business is the staff for revitalization for Shimokawa town. This keen realization having made us promote the recycling-forestation, including the acquisition of the national forest, deliberate afforestation and deforestation more than 60 years. Nowadays, we executed the first full-dress demonstration experiment in the world concerning to “bio-coke,” which will be the next generation carbon-free fuel, collaborating with Kinki university, etc.. Shimokawa town, with its population less than 4,000, creates the energy of the country and flashes toward Japan and the world.
